Change key of MIDI clips
-
Hey there...I have exported a MIDI clip of individual sound from PERCX to Ableton. Now clip sounds good on C2 note. However, when I try change the key inside Ableton (for example moving the clip to G2), clip is muted. No sound. How can I modify the key of midi clip without "lose" the sound?
Thanks in advance

Hi Rene,
Would you mind sharing an image of the MIDI, as well as what exactly you mean regarding exporting a MIDI clip from PercX to Ableton? PercX doesn't have a MIDI drag and drop feature just yet, so I think I need to understand just a little bit better what you're trying to do here

First picture: the loop from PercX sounds ok (C2 note)!
Second picture: I have moved the loop to D#2 and clip stops being heard.

But why did you move the note? C2 starts the playback, D#2 doesnโt.

Hi Rene, each instrument track in PercX is mapped to a single key on the keyboard, so you need to make sure any MIDI notes in your DAW correspond with an instrument inside PercX. You can easily see on the interface which keys are PercX-active (blue and pink) and which aren't. Make sure there is an instrument loaded in the track you are triggering with the MIDI note

@Dorian-Marko Perfect! Now I understand! Thanks!
